By their very nature women are nurturers, they are the care-takers who tend to give out more than they receive. Often times women become so focused on their careers, their husbands or boyfriends, their friends, entertaining and children that they forget about themselves.
Women are the great loves, leaders and organizers but for a woman to not feel drained, exhausted and taken advantage of she must make sure she gets time in for herself.
More women complain of exhaustion now than ever before because of self imposed expectations and demands placed upon them. You have got to get more of what you need. Get enough sleep, exercise and stretch, relax and unwind in a warm bath. Quality time makes everything in life feel and seem so much better.
When you forget about yourself or put yourself last yet again, you lose your sense of self and begin to barely resemble the person you once were. Positive self-image, self-confidence and quality time for yourself soon diminishes and disappears.
Now is the time to get in touch with the very essence of your being. When you do it’s like examining the inner depths of your soul. Investing a little quality time in yourself is vitally important in order to stay connected within yourself and to the outside world.
It’s one thing to give of yourself unto others and quite another to allow yourself to be taken advantage of. You know the difference and how it feels when your time, your energy and then some is constantly in high demand and in some cases even expected.
I’ve heard many women say they simply cannot make this happen, that it‘s just not possible. This is only true with your permission. You have the power to stay healthy and happy but you must be deliberate about taking time out to replenish your soul.
Continuing to be in the same constant rhythm to be all and do all for others will cause you to become a mere shell of your former vibrant self after a while. You absolutely must be given the space needed to love and take care of yourself. But you have to make it happen. Healthy boundaries must be re-established and set and it’s up to you do it. No one else can do it for you.
I have worked with several women who schedule their time to workout later in the evenings so that they can unplug from their busy schedules and all of their usual day in and day out life stuff… and it works!
The benefits are amazing and it shows in every aspect of their being. A replenished smile, a renewed spirit, a feeling of peace and a sense of warm energy permeates like a breath of fresh air. Spending at least 1 to 3 hours a week doing something that nurtures your inner being is incredibly rewarding physically and emotionally.
No one can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. Love yourself enough to nurture yourself, you’re worth it!

I had the privilege of working with Joe at Fit For You in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He had come highly recommended by two of my friends who were enrolled in his women’s health snd fitness programs. Over the years I worked with Joe, he taught me how to see the best in myself and to take charge of MY own life. At the time, I was recovering from chemotherapy and other rather serious health issues including some emotional and mental health challenges. Joe always listened to me and encouraged me to keep pushing and to have faith in myself. I became physically and emotionally stronger and the time I worked with Joe as my coach still benefits me today all these years later. If you are looking for a safe and affirming environment to get your health and your life back on track so that you can achieve your own personal best, Joe is the guy for you. He is professional, knowledgeable, intuitive, kind and patient.. He wants you to succeed and will gently but firmly push you to work hard to achieve your fitness and wellness goals. At the same time, Joe keeps you accountable for using the tools and resources at your disposal to make good choices in all aspects of your life. Joe is just an all around good person, a gentleman and quality human being who is committed to being your PARTNER in meeting your life goals. THANK YOU, Joe!
